So I took a great spontaneous trip to Bruxelles and Brugge, in Belgium for the weekend. It was great. We raced all over the cities for 2 days, trying to see as much as possible and enjoying our last weekend before the official beginning of our classes. This is a photo of the famous Bruxelles Town Hall. The square is beautiful, surrounded by so many old buildings. There was actually someone getting married in here when we were there.
This is an example of how much old and how much new culture exists in Bruxelles. You have buildings that are 400 and 500 years old, and the you get major examples of modernity. This is the European Union building that houses the first EU parliament.
