Well Christmas is almost here!
In The Hague at the ISS we've all been trying to make ourselves feel less sad about being away from home and family, by organizing little Christmas events and suppers. We had a great one the other night at one of the ISS dorms called Sunneke. My friends Hugo, from Quebec City, and Fanny, from Lyon, got really into the Christmas spirit and organized a gift exchange as Mr. and Mrs. Claus. They went out and bought a tree, downloaded carols, and Hugo even dressed up as Santa. How quickly a bunch of adults can suddenly become nothing more than eager little kids again.
We had a huge potluck and stayed up late drinking(we can't be kids al the time...) It was actually really really great and we all were sad glad the took the initiative on our part.
